The Office of the Social Welfare is administratively under the Office of the Mayor. The operational components of this office are child development and protection, nutrition services, youth welfare and development, special welfare program for the elderly, disabled, and other disadvantaged group of the communities, social upliftment services, disaster relief assistance and inter-agency coordination on social welfare and development for government offices and non-government organizations. A Social Welfare and Development Officer heads the office.
