The Office of the Local Civil Registrar is responsible for the civil registration program in the local government unit, pursuant to Civil Registry Law, the Civil Code, and other pertinent laws, rules and regulations issued to implement them. The operational component of this office are civil registration program development and implementation, document registration and preservation, coordination with the National Statistics Office in educational campaigns for vital registration, assistance in demographic and statistics preparation, and issuance of certified copies of registered documents.
