Pandan lass is Lin-ay kang Antique

SAN JOSE, Antique, May 01, 2006 — Seventeen-year-old Myrianne Jade Bagaforo of Pandan town has been declared Lin-ay kang Antique in a pompous pageant of beauty, grace and brain.
Bagaforo, who from now on until next year will be Antique’s official ambassadress of goodwill, bested 10 other candidates representing their respective municipalities Friday night at the EBJ Sports Complex.
Bagaforo was also declared best in gown, best in headdress, and Miss Sunsilk.
First runner-up was Geline Antoinette Cabrera of Sibalom while the second runner-up was Jessica Rivera of Barbaza, who was also declared best in talent.
Melinaire Jalipa of Valderrama was third runner-up and Miss Globe People’s Choice while Laua-an’s Mylene Gamuza was declared fourth runner-up.
Cabrera also bagged the best in interview award, best in swimwear award, Miss Loila’s Choice and Miss Ponds.
Rufel Pelaez of Libertad was declared best in Malay attire.
Flordnett Tentia of San Jose was declared Dayang kang Kadunaan.
May Ortega of Tibiao was Miss Photogenic.
Yvonne Villamar of Anini-y was Miss Close-up.
The other candidates were Kathleen Samson of Sebaste and Vida Molina of Hamtic.
The coronation night was attended by dignitaries like Gov. Salvacion Zaldivar Perez, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, mayors of the different municipalities and special guests from Iloilo and abroad.
The Lin-ay kang Antique 2006 was among the highlights of the month-long Binirayan Festival spearheaded by the Binirayan Foundation Inc. under Executive Director Alex Delos Santos.

i was there n d coronation night yes pandan is beautiful but not as beautiful and charismatic like lin-ay kang sibalom from d start till d end my mind does not change that my bet is sibalom she got best in swimsuit and best in interview i don’t know why she called up us 1st runner-up i was really shock n i was shock wen dey proclaimed pandan as d winner and the rumor was she won becoz she is d grnd dauther of Gov.Sally Perez my God….. i hope this 2007 r town will win i come frm TIBIAO.. and it was last 2003 wen TIBIAO got its 5th ms.Antique crown….TIBIAO won 1976,1982,1997,1999,2003 n i hope 4 2007

Sagad kamo ka lalis man, suya lng kamo kay mga raw-ay kamo… Hisa lng kamo sa mga gwapahon ridya sa antique… dpat proud kamo kay man talented ang mga kandidata kag kandidato ta kag isa lng ang aton ginhalinan nga lugar, ANTIQUE… At least may pambato kita, kag at least may runner up ang kandidata ta, kesa iba jan nga wla gid gani… Pa-showdown-showdown lamang ja haw… Wla abi ja ti tournament para sa HIP HOP one on one mong… Biskan fourth runner up lng ang Antique, it doesn’t matter coz Pandan is heading that way… lol

A news merely expressed by letters cannot encompass the impact of what pics can provide as a basis for those critics who hasn’t witnessed the pageant. Though some corners would still be missing.
