DENR maintains stand on responsible mining

San Jose, Antique (24 May) — The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office here maintains its stand on responsible mining.

Vicente Sardina, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer said they stick to the stand of responsible mining as long as it complies with the req0uirements more particularly on social acceptability and no conflict on land uses. The people in the area are the ultimate judge to whether they will accept the mining activity in their community or not. » more

San Jose, Antique (4 April) — Three Local Government Units in Antique (LGU) set up Material Recovery Facilities in support to the Solid Waste Management Program. These are the municipalities of Pandan and Anini-y, which are strategically located in northern and southern portion of the province respectively. PGMA delivers health and education benefits to Antiquenos

PANDAN, Antique - President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo gifted the people of Antique with health and education benefits during her visit to this town which marked its annual fiesta today.

The President handed over to the Gov. Leandro Fullon General Hospital an ambulance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) after she inspected the ongoing rehabilitation and expansion of the hospital. » more
